Win SUNRISE WITH A NOTORIOUS LORD

My next author is:

USA Today Bestselling Author Alexandra Hawkins!

Alexandra Hawkins is an unrepentant Anglophile who discovered romance novels as a teenager and knew that one day she would be writing her own. In “The Lords of Vice” series, she has combined her love of English history, mythology, and romance to create sensual character-driven stories that, she hopes, will touch readers’ hearts.

Alexandra’s latest release is SUNRISE WITH A NOTORIOUS LORD:

Dashing, decadent, and deliciously seductive, the notorious Lords of Vice indulge their every desire—from dusk until dawn…

FOREVER THE BACHELOR

Christopher Courtland, Earl of Vanewright—known around London as “Vane”—is the very picture of a rich, handsome ladies’ man. Why shackle himself to just one lady when he’s free to sample them all? In spite of his own mother’s attempts at matchmaking, Vane has sworn to stay single. Until he has a chance run-in with Miss Isabel Thorne…

NEVER IN LOVE—UNTIL NOW…

A modest and refined beauty, Isabel is a lot more brazen than she appears. When a pickpocket tries to make away with Vane’s bejeweled snuffbox, Isabel attempts to thwart his escape…and manages to steal Vane’s heart. But the harder he tries to seduce the sharp-tongued, strong-willed Isabel, the more she resists. Now it’s up to this tried-and-true bachelor to find a new way to play the game…or risk losing the one woman who’s ever captured his heart.

The challenge of getting the one who is so “slippery” and experiencing all that rakish talent.

I think it’s that whole taming of the bachelor aspect that does it for me:)

What is it about the notorious bachelor that’s such a draw for romance readers?

One simply has no clue what he would do next, what naughtiness he’d cook up, and the factor of the inability to keep him.

I think it is interesting to see how he will succumb to his feelings and admit that he is in love. I like an unpreditable hero.

The challenge of redeeming them. Sometimes half the fun is trying to do that even if the heroine may not succeed.

Wanting to be the woman to catch an uncatchable heart is what draws a woman to a notorious bachelor.
    They are simply irresistible.

They always have such a magnetic personality & women can’t help but be drawn to the ‘rogue’ or the ‘notorious bachelor’ but the real test is seeing if it’s possible to tame such a beast.. That’s where the real “taming” begins…

I like to watch them be tamed 🙂 The notorious ones are normally the hardest so I think that is what the draw is for me see them tamed and reeled in 😉

Watching and reading about a heroine tame them. It’s always the most rakish who fall the hardest.

It’s a bit of that whole “bad boy” thing, where if they are intent on maintaining their independence, they’re on the verge of falling over for the one woman will transform their view on life 🙂

That a “bad boy” would fall for someone deeply enough to accept some restrictions to be with her.

It’s seeing that regardless of what life has dealt you, your soul will lead you to where your heart is meant to be. It is captivating to see what special person draws to each of these men. The pieces fit so perfectly, it’s hard to picture the outcomes to be anything other than what the storyline captures.

They have that bad boy personality that the reader can’t help but wonder who and how will capture and tame it.

I like to watch them become enlightened about what they have been missing from their lives, see the arrogance get transmuted to cooperation and a desire to please the woman who has captured their heart.

His sense of invincibility with the tough of arrogance that he is right. We ladies just like to see them fall. We like them to acknowledge that they are still human and will likely to err.
